Rav-Pass

Rav-Pass is an app designed for payment and navigation in public and shared transport in Israel. It aims to simplify public transit use and provide cost-saving options.

The app offers various features such as the ability to pay for rides on buses, trains, service taxis, and shared transportation through barcode scans.

Users can choose to pay per ride or recharge their Rav-Kav cards in advance. The app includes route planning, a tariff calculator and it supports various user profiles, such as students and senior citizens.

“…to create a welcome and accessible online presence with a bright and user-friendly layout

Our challenge was to include a QR code in the logo design. This was crucial since, as transport tickets, QR codes are at the heart of Rav-Pass’s offering. This essential element has to be graphically represented in the logo in order for users to understand and recognise that QR codes are essential to the operation of the app.

The goal was to create a welcome and accessible online presence with a bright and user-friendly layout. The website was made attractive and easy to explore by using cheerful colours and a clear design, and we created a video to enhance users’ understanding of the programme.
We tackled the logo first, incorporating a QR code to emphasise how Rav-Pass is used.

Icons help users navigate the app’s functions, such as route planning and ticket purchasing, and can play an important part in improving the user experience. We used these extensively in the website design to simplify complex information, making it easier to understand.
We also prepared an instructional video that was both engaging and instructive, with clear directions on how to use the programme. It was created to be visually appealing, with bright images and iconography to match the website’s design.

The Solution

By focusing on these design elements in the logo, website and video, the aim was to ensure that users could easily understand and use Rav-Pass, enhancing their overall experience with public transport.

The newly designed website acts as an effective sales tool for the Rav-Pass, making journeys easier to arrange and pay for, and the video sets out how to use Rav-Pass.

Thanks to the redesigned logo, it is clear to Rav-Pass users that the QR code is a crucial part of buying and using bus, train, service taxis and other transportation services in Israel.
